Los Angeles, CA, November 4, 2009 --- The producers of independent feature films, “JUNKYARD DOG,” a psychological thriller from writer/director Kim Bass starring Vivica A. Fox and Brad Dourif, and action film, “KILL SPEED,” starring Andrew Keegan, Nick Carter and Tom Arnold, are pleased to announce that the international rights to both films have been acquired by Epic Pictures Group, a Hollywood-headquartered company that excels in worldwide sales of theatrical motion pictures. Additionally, Epic has picked up the domestic distribution rights for “KILL SPEED.”
“We have found a great partner for these films on the international stage,” said writer/director Kim Bass. “We’re very excited to be working with Epic Pictures Group and look forward to making a big splash at AFM.”
Epic Pictures Group and Bass Entertainment Pictures LLC will be premiering the films at the upcoming American Film Market (AFM). “JUNKYARD DOG” will screen on Nov. 5th at 3pm, and “KILL SPEED” will debut on Nov. 6th at 5pm.
Bass Entertainment Pictures produced “JUNKYARD DOG” in conjunction with Dennis Ho of Digital Jungle Pictures and In The Light Entertainment, which is headed by Deanna Shapiro. “JUNKYARD DOG” is Digital Jungle Pictures’ first foray into theatrical film production.
About “JUNKYARD DOG”
“JUNKYARD DOG” is a gritty psychological-horror-thriller that delves the demented mind of a serial rapist who kidnaps his tenth victim in as many months on Halloween night. Inspired by actual events and filmed on location in Tennessee, “JUNKYARD DOG” tells the terror-filled tale of Audra Buckman, a nineteen year-old college coed, trapped in a month-long nightmare, struggling to stay alive (and uneaten) while being held captive, left half-starved and repeatedly raped by JYD, an oddly charismatic, flesh-eating fiend. Audra’s only hope of escape from this hell--and the mouth of a madman--is Samantha Deatherage, a tough FBI agent who is sent on a solo assignment to search for the missing girl.
About “KILL SPEED”
“KILL SPEED” is a high-octane, youth oriented, “TOP GUN” meets “FAST & FURIOUS” tale about best friends who fly home-built, high-tech planes to deliver Mexican manufactured crystal meth throughout rural California in order to fund their Hollywood, rock-star lifestyle. That is until a beautiful young woman who is not what she pretends to be infiltrates their group.
